Kai has returned to Lag Village a hero. But glory sits uneasily on his shoulders, and before long he retreats to the solitude of his hidden valley. There, the surviving Macaque tribe seek an audience. As the Great God of the Valley, they believe Kai is the only being capable of purging the dark god whose corruption is poisoning their lands. Feeling the weight of the Arbitration God's power, Kai must confront what it truly means to bear divine authority. But the impending fight becomes more complicated when a deranged Macaque warrior princess and a colossal three-tailed wolf god join the fray. Will they prove to be allies or enemies?
